HISTORY

In the early 90's, thousand of people discovered Brazilian jiu-jitsu due to its success in competitions around the world such as UFC and Pride. BJJ academies started to spread across all continents, and the Gentle Art conquered practitioners by his efficiency on Self Defense and when put up against others Martial Arts.

Founded in 1997 by Black Belt Victor Costa, Koral gained notoriety for being one of the pioneers in the development of BJJ GIs adapted to the need and taste of BBJ fighters and practitioners all over the world. Until then, most practitioners used to borrow Judo Gis. With a cut more adjusted to the body and to the Gentle Art, BJJ Gis conquered the world and Judo Gis were retired from Jiu-Jitsu world, as the iconic MKM Gi, launched in 2004, became object of desire of BJJ's competitors, professors and practitioners.

Thought its existence, Koral has always supported fighters, competitions and tornaments. In partnership with the biggest federations, its successful trajectory merges with the very recent history of combat sports.
